Today I came across a photo on my Facebook feed of a beautiful waterfall. It took a little while, but after some investigation, it turned out to be ‘Dynjandi Falls’.
Dynjandi (also known as Fjallfoss) is located in North-West Iceland, in Westfjords (Vestfirðir). Iceland is home to many waterfalls, du to its well suited terrain and climate.
Being one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area, it’s name in Icelandic means Thunderous’. Dynjandi is actually a series of waterfalls, rather than one drop.
I have done some reading about the journey, and despite being in a remote location, there are driving routes and even some tour buses which operate in the area.
If anyone has been lucky enough to visit this location, I’d love to hear about your experiences.
